Faith and Fear in Flushing made its debut on Feb. 16, 2005, the brainchild of two longtime friends and lifelong Met fans.
Greg Prince discovered the Mets when he was 6, during the magical summer of 1969. He is a Long Island-based writer, editor and communications consultant. Contact him here.

On October 1, 2005, the Mets beat the Rockies 3-1 and raised their record to 83-78.
On October 1, 2006, the Cardinals lost to the Brewers 5-3 and lowered their record to 83-78.
The Mets clinched a tie for third place.
The Cardinals clinched a division title.
