Elimination Nation Rejoice!

We’ve had little to rejoice in this year, so let us rejoice in the postseason elimination of others. Not just any others, but the others we wish eliminated annually. Daily, really.

Happy Elimination Day, civilized world! Hell, take the whole weekend!

Congratulations, Rays. Congratulations, all of us.

    Yankee Elimination Day!
Always the beginning of the Holiday Season!

Had a 10am dentist appointment to experience temporary pain that will in theory relieve longer-term, more significant pain. Dentist and I are well aware of our opposite ends of NY baseball fandom and have always made it a point to needle each other (no pun intended, as he administered novocaine 4 times). He walks into the room. Me:

“So what happened in the Yankee game last night?”

    Him: “Eh, they lost.”

Me: “Yeah, I know, I just wanted to hear you say it.”

Maybe too brave, considering the position he was in to cause me pain.

Hey Dave, my dentist is a Yankee fan, too, and he is the greatest guy you would ever want to meet!

I have an appointment with him this Thursday. I think I will need to wear my mask DURING the appointment, just to hide my smile!

Well, at least this season/year is not total loss.

Good Karma seeing the evil ones from Bronx get eliminated!

    Let’s Go Mets in 2021!

I liked especially how the guy that hit the winning bomb off the evil snark was the same guy that the same evil snark tried to bean with 100 mph just a month earlier.

So there is still hope for a World Series where I can root for something greater than continental drift to end the game before it’s 5am here…..

All I said to my Yankee friends was: “see yaa” and I received so many nasty responses to it. Some just can’t take it.

My three favorite teams: the Mets, the Rays (my semi-adopted team since I moved to Orlando), and whoever’s playing the Damn Yankees.

Now my second-favorite team has a good shot at the World Series, and my third-favorite team’s season is over.

I would root for anyone — ANYONE, that includes the Yankees and Dodgers, against any team from the NL east that isn’t the Mets. So go Dodgers! (Oh, and btw, if you’re listening? F-You, Travis.)
