Don't Disrespect Our Borough

Jeff-Greg Prince

Our shirt of many numbers made its Pennsylvania photographic debut during the first game of Friday’s day-night doubleheader thanks to a commenter you know as bmfc1 and I know as a 1-man Bob Murphy Fan Club. It was my extreme pleasure to meet him early in the Mets’ 8-1/2-hour sweep of the Phillies. As for my shirt, a recent gift from my wife who sees me those 10 minutes a week I’m not at one Northeastern ballpark or another, some frustrated local who is not familiar with or perhaps disrespectful of the Borough of Reyes had something ignorant to imply about it outside Citizens Bank Park after the 6-5 visitor victory.

Queeeens, this sillydelphian chuckled. Ha-ha! Queeeens!
Who won? I asked. And who’s in first? Ha-HA!

Inviolable rule of mindless taunts: They’re more effective if you have a proverbial leg to stand on.
