First He Returned

It was so great to have Tom Seaver come home again on April 5, 1983, almost six seasons beyond the wretched trade that turned him into an ex-Met.

That was perhaps the only time that I cut classes in college – to be at Shea for Tom's return.
I still regret not going to that opening day. Don't even remember why I didn't go!…………………..
