Next to opening day , this may be the second best day of the season..and all of you know this !! Hit the reset button day, a little more hope for this season and possibly for the future day..We can beat up each other and on the players day!!
well, not as weird as trading walker back for neise (maybe not considered thanks to the former’s sudden sighs of offensive life), maybe jonathon can pretend it’s october and be that gutsy lefty specialist again.

maybe bruce can help reverse the team’s no-hitting curse – at least until he’s fully internalized the 2016 mets’ intangible character flaw.

This trade was a double win for the Mets. Not only was Bastardo jettisoned, it’s great seeing Niese back just to piss off those who disliked him.
Well, better the devil you know than…nah, never mind. This reminds me of getting Bobby Bonilla or Kevin McReynolds back.

Well I’m not happy Niese is back. But usually when you trade crap, like Bastardo, you get crap back. Perhaps he’ll be as useful as he was in relief during the playoffs last year. One can only hope.
He also has some apologizing to do to his teammates — unless of course his ire last November was directed at Tejada and Murphy.
This is reminiscent of the Vince Coleman for Kevin McReynolds trade in 1994. The end result should prove equally underwhelming.
