You've heard of the payola scandle? Since he did write the introduction to your book (and with all that has happened with AIG, Bernie Madoff, Barry Bonds, etc.) there could be a conflict of interest investigation initiated by the Federal Government.
Better call your cousin Vinny just to play it safe.
Always with the conspiracy theories, Joe. When you receive your copy, you'll see Gary did not write the foreword, but graciously sat for a Q&A in the afterword. Jason wrote the foreword (no matter what Amazon would have you believe).
And I don't have a cousin Vinny, but I am related I forget how to the actor/director Richard Benjamin.

that was great. Gary and Keith talking about Mets blogs. too bad the inning had to end.
Darn, I forgot about the replay. Was watching “Bury My Heart At Wounded Knee” instead (which was recorded a few months ago). Wish we caught the game instead because the film is excellent but very depressing due to it's honesty.
Even knowing it was coming, that was ridiculously awesome. Perhaps I'll make it my ringtone.
Oh, Keith — if for some reason you tear yourself away from the Daily Stache and visit, read this.

For those who missed it (you weirdos), they were coming out of a promo for MetsBlog, meandered a bit on the subject of blogs (it was 8-0 Mets by then, and it is Spring Training) when Gary broached the subject.

KEITH: Is that a…?
GARY: It's a blog.
KEITH: No.
GARY: It's a Mets blog.
KEITH: Really?
GARY: Very…a very… um… erudite Mets blog. In other words, they're smart. They write well.

Somehow, Michael, I'm less shocked Keith knows from the Daily Stache than that he knows from the Daily Kos.
Make it Little Caesar's, so you can use this logo.
Heard Gary talk about your blog on the broadcast and immediately went there. Gary is the best and I trust him on all things baseball (and of course all things Met) implicitly. He was right. Very well written and enjoyable. Made me smile a lot (something that's not always easy to make a Met fan do).
As a lifelong Met fan I'm sorry I only discovered your blog yesterday but I look forward to checking it out as the season progresses on a regular basis.
I couldn't care less about college basketball (though I am a former, bitter Knicks fan from back in the Clyde-Willis days, thru the Patrick years, and well, you know what has followed) and so any baseball talk is much appreciated. Keep up the good work.

Between this, the book, and David Wright's heroics in the WBC, I'm afraid the FAFIF universe may be using up all of 2009's pride in March.
If that's the case, so be it. God knows the Mets have given us a number of years with nothing to be proud of (it goes without saying one can read blurbs about such years here. I'M DOING MY PART!)
I would be amazed if Keith knew about the stache. It was founded and created in his honor.
