Greg Prince and Jason Fry
Faith and Fear in Flushing made its debut on Feb. 16, 2005, the brainchild of two longtime friends and lifelong Met fans.

Greg Prince discovered the Mets when he was 6, during the magical summer of 1969. He is a Long Island-based writer, editor and communications consultant. Contact him here.

Paint the Corner

The 126th Street side of Citi Field can’t possibly go very long without a strike zone box painted on one of its walls. It’s too perfect a place for stickball not to. Any ball that bounces into the chop shops is a triple.

    This would make up for the biggest disappointment at CitiField – the kiddie field on the concourse behind the scoreboard. Last year I asked a guy at the CitiField preview exhibit inside Shea what that little diamond on all the renderings was, and he said it was going to be a mini-field that people could rent out and play on. In actuality it's like 30 feet square, an eight-year-old is too big for it.
