Mets offense is already going to be minus Thor and Wheeler, now taking the bats out of deGrom’s and Matz’s hands? Going to be a run-starved lineup.

But in all honesty…as much as I hate the concept, a franchise that’s featured everyone from Gregg Jefferies to Daniel Murphy to Wilmer Flores (not an exhaustive list) was made for DH’s.

The Dawson interview really moved me. Here’s a guy who just destroyed the Mets for 20 years, and it turns out he’s one of the good guys.

Reminds me of a buddy of mine who once ran into Chipper Jones at a charity event. After a long conversation, my friend said to him, “I’m a Met fan, and I know I’m supposed to hate you, but I just can’t anymore.”

Sacrifices have to be made to get bubble baseball. I am willing to sacrifice fans at the ballpark (not by tossing them into a volcano, just by having them stay home), pitchers batting (for this year only!), and playing the Mariners (unless they join us in the Bubble World Series). I just need real baseball getting going. I need to get worked up about MLB stomping out some players displaying messages on their masks. I need to descend into agony over not having Wilmer Flores with the DH around (for this year only!!).

Still going along playing the season day by day in OOTP, just to keep the world turning. Mets 33-20, 1.5 behind the Philthies. Pete hitting .340 with 15 homers is a joy to have. :D
